Rudder Exchange Visual Arts Mentoring Partnerships- REVAMP

A program of the Artful Dodgers Studios (Jesuit Social Services) developed in 2010 by Forest Keegel in consultation with Dodgers artists. Rudder Exchange Visual Arts Mentoring Partnerships (REVAMP) matched established visual artists (mentors) with Dodgers artists- young people (18-28) (mentees) to work together in a mentoring partnership. Mentor – mentee partnerships were primarily matched by art form. The mentees and mentors participated in training and mentees had agency in choosing a mentor.
Upon entering the program many of the mentees had faced barriers to employment or education and had not undergone formal arts training, having dedicated studio space, working collegiately to support each other and developing work for exhibition led many of them to University and sustained art practices.

Juan Davila was the Artistic Patron of REVAMP

Australia Council for the Arts funded the program for 2 years
